Sydney Wilson
ACTOR|SINGER|DANCER
About the Artist
Sydney Wilson (she/her) is an actor, singer, and dancer based in New York, Arizona, and beyond (as a military brat, she's got roots all over!) Sydney discovered her love for singing through the vocal stylings of Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana. Hannah's double life- normal teen by day, rock star by night- was enchanting to this young military brat, and she never looked back. As Sydney moved around throughout her childhood (she lived in five states!), she kept this love for performance alive.
This passion took Sydney to Ithaca College, where she recently graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Sydney has also trained at the Barrington Stage Musical Theatre Conservatory and has performed professionally with New London Barn Playhouse.
After graduating from Ithaca, Sydney was selected as one of eight Acting Residents at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Through Milwaukee Rep's Emerging Professional Residency program, Sydney has connected with a wide range of artists and sharpened her actor toolbox over three productions, including understudying a record-breaking run of Come From Away, performing in the 50th anniversary production of A Christmas Carol in the historic Pabst Theater (ask her about the high E flat she sang at Fred's party every night), and understudying the regional premiere of McNeal.
When she's not performing, Sydney loves to watch movies, collect manga, discover new music, go on adventures and obsess over the color purple!
